Thrussington Fun Run

The 9th Annual Thrussington Fun Run!!

Time to dig out those trainers and get limbering up for the 9th Thrussington Fun Run!

This year the event is taking place on Saturday 7th March with the first race commencing at 2pm.
Once again there are 5 separate races for the various age groups:

Race 1: Pre-school – school year 2 – one lap of the 0.75 mile course – start time 2pm.
Race 2: School year 3 – school year 4 – one lap of the 0.75 mile course – start time 2:20pm.
Race 3: School year 5 – school year 6 – one lap of the 0.75 mile course – start time 2:40pm.
Race 4: School year 7 – age 17 years – two laps of the 0.75 mile course – start time 3pm.
Race 5: Ages 18+ – two laps of the 0.75 mile course – start time 3:20pm.

Please note that there is a new rule for this year’s fun run mini series:

No child above the preschool age group can win a trophy if they are physically assisted by a parent/carer, this includes holding hands and or carrying the child over streams or obstacles.

Fair play, good sportsmanship and an all inclusive positive attitude are what the Thrussington fun run prides itself on and this rule has been introduced to ensure that these values are respected. We thank you for your support

As always there are numerous individual trophies to be won in every race, but there are also school trophies and family team trophies to be won. Every finisher will receive a medal.

There will be a professional photographer on the course, so remember to give them a smile! The photo’s will be available to purchase at the village hall after the races, along with hot and cold drinks and hot food.
